I’m Kayla Shumaker, a St. Petersburg, Florida–based designer with a degree in Graphic Arts from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, where I graduated summa cum laude with a 3.96 GPA. My education emphasized both conceptual thinking and hands-on experimentation across a wide range of creative mediums.

I’ve gained professional experience through an internship at Greater Public Studio, where I worked on apparel graphics, photography, murals, and creative direction, as well as freelance projects working as a Graphic Designer at Creative Arts Unlimited, including the Ritz-Carlton Arcade and the Beatles Museum. I currently work as a Social Media and Marketing Manager for High Test Gummies, creating content, managing campaigns, and using performance data to inform design decisions. My work is driven by a balance of creativity and strategy, with a strong focus on connection and impact.

I’m especially drawn to music-related design and wearable graphics that feel expressive and personal. Outside of work, I stay creatively active through painting, jewelry making, upcycling, and spending time in nature- practices that continually influence my visual style and keep my work bold, thoughtful, and people-focused.
